Join us at Minnesota Museum of American Art (the M) to hear more about St. Paul’s only art museum, an innovative center of creativity and community. Located in the Historic Pioneer Endicott, a Cass Gilbert building with a fascinating history, the M is soon to undergo its final phase of construction, which will triple the size of the museum gallery space. With expansion on the horizon, the M’s small staff is thinking big and refining what it means to “explore American identities and experiences through art and creativity.”

New leadership under Dr. Kate Beane, a respected and trailblazing visionary in the Twin Cities, has inspired wide-ranging support and fresh interest in this institution that’s been around since 1894. Originally St. Paul School of Fine Arts, the M boasts an exciting history that culminates in the Historic Pioneer Endicott.

Today, the M is a one-of-its-kind museum dedicated to community partnerships and a co-curation model. The M also holds more than 5,000 artworks in its permanent collection that showcase the unique voice of American artists with a new focus on living Minnesotan artists. Come learn more about the M and what’s coming next for this vital St. Paul arts institution.
