Events

Museum professionals gain the most by networking with their colleagues across the state, digging deep in workshops, and celebrating the work of Minnesota's museums. With every event MAM hosts, we work to engage the museum community in all corners of the state and strengthen our institutions. Join us!

We regularly have events so check back often! Have a great idea for an event you would like see or host? Let us know: info@minnesotamuseums.org.

    Networking, Coffee, and Doughnuts

Take the morning and network with your fellow museum colleagues at the Weisman Art Museum. Grab a coffee, mingle, and then explore the galleries! Enjoy fine art on guided tours including the new summer exhibition, Local Time.

    ABOUT LOCAL TIME

Five Twin Cities-based artists: Prithika Chowdhry, Sam Gould of Red76, Alexandros Lindsay, Morgan Thorson, and Marcus Young, created works addressing time as its central subject. Through installation, sculpture, behavioral practice, and dance, the five large-scale works on view offer challenging interpretations of this perpetual and infinitely vexing aspect of human experience: the passing of time. Learn more about the exhibit here: z.umn.edu/localtime.

Mixers are free for MAM members and $5 for guests of MAM. Register ahead and reserve your spot today!
